Unhackable online system for cities that are smart?
Smart cities of future need to graduate to a different internet paradigm for safety of people whose lives are dependent on government computer infrastructure, and the majority of which are exposed to cyber-saboteurs like those featured in Bruce Willis starrer Live Free or Die Hard, states that a group of US-based IT experts which claims to have developed a new ‘impregnable’ and’unhackable’ super cloud with cyber security technology that serves as an whole platform.
Talking to FE through a visit to New Delhi, the cyber safety specialists shared a glance of their technology which they asserted had the capacity to offer resistance to internet-based systems that are vulnerable to cyber attacks such as the defacement of Indian websites by Pakistani hackers who afford to breach New Delhi’s cyber space.
Looking to provide his services and system to Indian governments striving to grow over 100 smart cities with major stress on e-governance and paperless communication for’simplicity of living’, Khavar stated,’The present online system doesn’t have any immunity. Hackers can break into government networks and lead to havoc.’
‘The internet wasn’t made for its present purposes, because it was not designed around security at all. This endangers completely every internet user, company owner, government and agency. Without even realizing it, personal info, financing and information is saved and passed around each and every moment we open our research,’ explained Khavar, who is based in Berkeley.
‘When a company or institution pops up OT-OCN in its platform, it may completely block outside hacking efforts even when the machine is connected to the net like from the present environment,’ he said, setting an opportunity in India which has set an ambitious goal on creating smart cities.

While looking to showcase the new technologies, providing it to government agencies, cyber defence specialists and aiming to tie-up with potential partners and technical educational institutions such as Indian Institute of Technology, CAT has claimed that the new technology is a value proposition as it is economical and wouldn’t need much change in the current hardware. Khavar claimed OT-OCN has proven its superior cyber protection capabilities by being adapted by major corporations and institutions globally, including the US authorities.
